Muhrtar Ishaq Yakasai who was an aspirant in the election and was defeated filed a suit challenging the primary election results.
At the Supreme Court on Thursday, Justice Musa Dattijo Muhammad who led other four Justices that include, Inyang Okoro, Chima Nweze, Amiru Sanusi and Abba Aji in a unanimous ruling struck out the appeal for lack of merit.
Justice Musa Dattijo Muhammad said the filed motion by the Appellant was contradictory and wrongly filed.

He said the motion was wrongly dated 2018 instead of 2019 and the extension of time been sought by the Appellant is not allowed in election petitions
The Judges dismissed the seven filed motion by the Appellant and upheld the judgment of the court of the Court of Appeal
The Appellant in the suit Muhktar Ishaq Yakasai was represented by four Lawyers led by Dr. George Ogunyomi while Barrister Ibrahim Bawa SAN, represented the second respondent, APC.
