Kaduna state government on Friday declared 24 hours curfew in Kajuru local government area following a fresh violence that erupted in the earlier this morning at Kasuwan Magani leading to the death of one person and one other injured.
A statement from the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan, said the Deputy Governor, Barnabas Bala, has ordered vigorous enforcement of the curfew and has urged the citizens to comply and support peace efforts in the community.
According to the statement , “Following events in Kasuwan Magani, the dusk to dawn curfew that has been in place in Kajuru local government area had been extended to 24-hours in the entire local government area.
It said ,“The 24-hour curfew in the entire Kajuru LGA is with immediate effect, and will be enforced until further notice.’’
