Three Abducted Kaduna Lecturers Regain Freedom

Kaduna state government says the three kidnapped lecturers have been released.

The Administrator of the Shehu Idris College of Health Makarfi in Kaduna where the lecturers work, Yusuf Yakubu confirmed their release in a text message to Daily Trust on Tuesday evening.

The text message reads” Please be informed that the three kidnapped staff of Shehu Idris College of Health Science and Technology were released this night (Tuesday) 8pm. I, the Administrator of the college negotiate with the kidnappers and they released them to me.”

Those kidnapped include two women, Rabi Dogo and Halimatu Malam, and the Director of the Institution’s Dental School, identified as Dr. Akawo.

Solacebase had earlier report that the Police said the three lecturers were abducted were abducted on Sunday night when they were on their way to Makarfi from Zaria in  the Kaduna north senatorial district.
