President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the National Coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), Halima Shehu.
According to Channels Television, the President approved Shehu’s suspension with immediate effect and ordered her replacement.
It was gathered that the NSIPA boss was suspended by Mr Tinubu on Tuesday over allegations of fraud in the organization.

She was told to step down to allow a thorough investigation into the allegations against her.
In the meantime, the President has appointed Mr Akindele Egbuwalo as the acting coordinator of the NSIPA, pending the conclusion of the comprehensive probe ordered by Mr Tinubu.
Until now, he was the national coordinator of the N-Power program, and his new appointment takes effect immediately.
Shehu was appointed by President Tinubu in October 2023, and her appointment was confirmed by the Senate on October 18, 2023.
She worked as the National Coordinator of the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, where she used her banking and career expertise to see to the digitalization of the program.
