Tricycle operators in Kano State have threatened to withdraw their services and go on a warning strike on Monday over the failure of the state government to suspend collections of N100 as daily tax.
Solacebase reports that the tricycle riders on Saturday took to the streets mobilizing themselves and distributing flyers on their plan to go on strike in the early hours of Monday following a negotiation breakdown between the state government and their union.
The state Chairman, of the tricycle owners association Alhaji Sani Dankoli who confirmed to Solacebase said their aggrieve members have decided to embark on strike without the union approval.

Dankoli Urged members to immediately suspend the planned strike saying that the strike would affect the movement of thousands of citizens across the state.
It would be recalled that tricycle operators had protested last Wednesday and Thursday on major roads in the metropolis with the intention to draw the attention of the state government and other authorities to the untold hardship they are going through with the daily tax payment of N100.
