UPDATED : LG Council vice chairman dies in Kano

The Vice-Chairman, Ungoggo local government council in Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Dantalata Karo is dead.

Solacebase reports that the Council Chairman, Engr Abdullahi Garba Ramat announced the death of his deputy on his Facebook page on Monday.

The facebook post read “Innalillahi wa inna’ilaihirraj’un Allah kaji kan Abdullahi Dantalata Karo ( Vice chairma Ungogo LGA), Ka yafe masa kura-kuren sa, Ka bawa iyalansa hakuri da dangana, intamu tazo kasa mucika da imani.

Hasbunallah wani’il wakil.” Inji Engr. Ramat,

Meaning, Indeed to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return! Rest in peace Abdullahi Dantalata Karo (Vice Chairman of Ungogo LGA), may God forgive him for his mistakes, grant his family patience and perseverance, may we all not fall short of sincerity and faith.
Sufficient for us is Allah,  ”said Engr. Ramat.

Also, confirming the death to Solacebase, the Council Chairman, Engr Abdullahi Garba Ramat said the late vice-chairman was buried around 9.30 am on Monday.

He added that the funeral prayer was led by the chief Imam of Ungoggo local government area, Malam Adamu Zubairu Ungoggo.

Engr Abdullahi Garba Ramat promised to personally support the family of the deceased with cash and foodstuff monthly.

Prior to becoming a Vice Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Dantalata Karo was the APC Chairman of the Ungoggo local government area.

He also contested for the Chairmanship of the Council before settling for the Vice Chairmanship position.
