Thousands of Senator Ibrahim Shekarau’s supporters on Tuesday converged at the Mudunbawa avenue residence of the two time Kano State Governor to witness the inauguration of the Shura Council.
Senator Ibrahim Shekarau represents Kano Central at the National Assembly.

The event is coming at a time the ruling All Progressive Congress in the state is factionalized as Senator Ibrahim Shekarau’s side has Alhaji Ahmadu Haruna Zago as Chairman, while the Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje faction has Abdullahi Abbas as chairman as the state had parallel congress in the recently held state executives election of the party
Dignitaries at the occasion include former Deputy Governor of Kano State Prof Hafiz Abubakar, Senator Masud El Doguwa, Hon Shaaban Sharada, Hon Balarabe Wakili and Alhajiji Nagoda, among others.
