Former Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II on Friday joined thousands of Tijjaniya members to celebrate the annual Maulud of the Tijjaniya movement in Sokoto.

Solacebase reports that Muhammadu Sanusi II was at the occasion appointed leader of the Tijjaniyya movement in Nigeria.
