Why we need more private surveyor companies in Kano — Govt

The Acting Governor of Kano, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has called for more private surveyor companies in the state.

The acting governor, who held a meeting with a delegation from the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors, led by its President Dr. Ibitoye Mathew Olomolatan on Monday, acknowledged the critical role of surveying in land management.

According to a statement by the press secretary to the deputy governor, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, the visit by the surveyors was to celebrate the annual general conference of the Association of Private Practicing Surveyors of Nigeria (APPSN).

“The objective is to establish collaboration between the institution and the State Government, aiming to engage private survey practitioners for untapped benefits in revenue generation and employment opportunities,”  said Olomolatan.
