Yusuf Maitama Sule University appoints acting registrar

Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano has appointed Malam Suleiman Saleh as acting Registrar of the institution.

Solacebase reports that Suleiman Saleh is a Deputy Registrar and Academic Secretary of the University, A statement issued by Head, Information, Publications and Public Relations Unit of the University Abdullahi Abba Hassan said Malam Suleiman Saleh will now oversee the affairs of the Office of the Registrar of the institution pending the appointment of a substantive Registrar.

The statement said the ceremony which was conducted during an emergency Principal Officers meeting held at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Main Campus of the University, brought to an end the five-year tenure of the outgoing Registrar who was appointed in 2015.

According to the statement, speaking shortly after taking over the affairs of the Registry Department, Malam Suleiman Saleh promised to discharge his duties with the fear of God and to the best of his ability.

He wished the outgoing Registrar, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Aminu all the best in his future endeavours.

In his welcome address, the acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Aliyu Musa said the meeting was convened in compliance with the directive of State Government for the outgoing Registrar, Malam Mohammed Sani Aminu to hand over the affairs of the Registry Department to Malam Suleiman Saleh who will oversee the Office of the Registrar of the University.

Earlier in his handing over address, the outgoing Registrar, Malam Mohammed Sani Aminu highlighted some of the major accomplishments recorded during his tenure.
