. Yusuf Maitama Sule Univeristy Kano Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mustapha Ahmad Isa stated this at the Matriculation of newly admitted students of the university.
Prof. Mustapha Ahmad Isa said the matriculation day marks a very important day in the lives of the students as it was the day they were formally absorbed into the university.
A statement signed by the Head Information, Publications and Public Relations unit of the University , Abdullahi Abba Hassan said the Vice Chancellor admonished the students to always remember their oat to abide by the regulations guiding their stay in the university
“Let it be known to you that a university degree is awarded based on two key benchmarks: character and learning. Remember not to compromise either”,Prof. Mustapha Ahmad Isa told the matriculated students.
It said the VC appeled to the students to shun negative practices and embrace positive attitude, hardwork and team work.
The statement noted that Prof. Mustapha Ahmad Isa reaffirmed the university determination to strive in ensuring that all facilities and support services are provided to facilitate teaching and learning in all the Campuses of the University.
