Beneficiaries of training/empowerment programs of Doguwa/TudunWada federal lawmaker recount Impact

It is no longer new that good deeds are given less attention than they require, While the media is silent about the humanitarian efforts of legislators, Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has been described as a silent achiever who is hell-bent on transforming his constituency.

Honorable Alhassan Ado Doguwa, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency has been described as a hero in human flesh and a forerunner in Promoting Education, Empowerment of the People in achieving poverty eradication, social integration, and full employment integration and full employment and decent work for his people.

Most residents of Doguwa/ Tudun Wada Federal Constituency who spoke to SOLACEBASE said the lawmaker representing the area has impacted on the lives of many through various empowerment schemes and skills acquisition programs that cut across youth, women, educated, and traders.

An investigation revealed that over 100 science teachers were trained and empowered months ago at a five day program organized by the lawmaker.

A visit to Riruwai community where Zainab Muhammed, a physics Teacher at Government Secondary School, Rairuwai gave a firsthand impact the training is having on her as a science teacher and the impact on students’ academic performance.

“There is always an end result of every investment, Zainab said. I have mostly said training is an integral aspect of capacity building and leaders must not overlook, today we are reaping the fruit of the 5-days training organized by Hon. Doguwa, a great visionary leader, done over eight months ago, the training for us teachers is not a wasted investment, as this has improved in the teaching of our students.’’

“We are on break at the moment, but we the teachers still come around to learn and enrich ourselves twice a week with the modules provided us, this is an extra effort to stay well-equipped before our students resume in the coming weeks,” Zainab said.

Ibrahim Dahiru, the Chemistry teacher of Government Secondary School, Riruwai could not hold back his appreciation to Hon. Doguwa whose initiative birthed the program which gave him modern exposure,

“Hon. Doguwa is indeed a leader who has his people at heart, as a privileged beneficiary of the training, one fact I will forever be grateful for is the knowledge that will forever remain in my head and my students will forever benefit from the knowledge, teachers need such kind of training, it helps to improve the standards of schools, and students performance in general.

“Only a leader who understands the benefit of education will initiate such kind of program for his people, I have endeavored to train those that were not at the training, you can see the chain of benefit, looking at the long time benefit, the fruit of this training is already manifesting and yielding fruits,” Dahiru said.

Mohammed Bello, who is also a science teacher and a beneficiary of the training program analyzed some of the noticeable impacts of the project in Government Secondary School, Rairuwai 

“Prior to this training and supply of this equipment, we can only say we are science teachers by mouth, but the truth is that we weren’t proud of any laboratory equipment in the school to show, this has also affected our teaching skills because practical sessions we had at the training.

“Today, our students can identify this equipment by their name because they can see them, they can use this equipment and see results, they now feel motivated being a science student, learning is not just theory, practicality is now involved in modern science teaching, and this was achieved with the help of a true leader and concerned citizen,” Bello said.

Also, Some of the projects tracked to be nominated and executed by Hon. Doguwa include the construction and renovation of classrooms and the supply of teaching and learning materials across schools in Doguwa and Tudun-wada LGAs and carried out by the Universal Basic Education (UBEC).

Data obtained by SOLACEBASE from Govspend revealed that between 2021 and 2022, over 40 projects were sponsored, implemented, and executed by Hon. Doguwa across Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency.

According to Auwal Ali Sufi the Spoke person to Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, described Doguwa’s idea of attracting such a multimillion naira project to his people as the only way of gaining the trust of the people and making them enjoy the devidence of democracy upon which he was elected.

“Hon Doguwa is committed to seeing his people grow, develop, and enjoy the basic necessities of life, and it is for this reason that he has never wished to see his people complain or regret ever voting for him, so he is committed to their development in human or infrastructure wise,” Sufi said.

Sufi narrates Doguwa’s awareness of efforts being made by detractors to sabotage his efforts but reaffirms his commitment and steadfastness to leadership.

“Several efforts are on the ground by enemies and detractors to defame Hon. Doguwa, this is not new, some people can go to any length to sabotage his efforts, I am glad he is such a mature politician who doesn’t really care about all of these, he is so focused on been good to his people and serve to his best capability,” Sufi added.
