The Senior Special Assistant Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters, Abdurrahman Kawu-Sumaila, on Sunday raised alarm over alleged attempt to eliminate him by some political opponents.
The presidential Aide made the allegation at a news conference held in Kano on Sunday.
Abdurrahman Kawu-Sumaila said the Police have arrested three of the suspects that include Alhaji Abdulhamid Idris, Campaign Director of Senator representing Kano South, Kabiru Gaya for allegedly organizing thugs to attack him.
He noted that the suspects were currently in Police custody in Sumaila Police Divisional office undergoing interrogation.
Abdulrrahman Sumaila said “incident happened around 12 noon while I was addressing about 3,000 APC registered members before the commencement of the primary election.
“As I was addressing the people I noticed about eight persons trying to come near me in the crowd, so I became suspicious and notified the Police who immediately swung into action and arrested the suspects with dangerous weapons,”
