Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has announced a total lockdown of the state for 7 days.
Ganduje said on Tuesday at a news conference that the lockdown takes effect from Thursday, 10,00pm.
Solacebase reports that Kano on Tuesday recorded additional one COVID-19 case in the state, with this the total number of positive coronavirus case in the state now stands at 4.
Ganduje noted that all markets and all public gatherings are banned.
”The lockdown is in the interest of all of us, it is never the wish of the government to impose hardship on the people, ”said Ganduje.
