BUK Signs MoU To Begin Teaching Of Chinese Language
Bayero University, Kano on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chinese Embassy to commence teaching of the Chinese language.
A Cultural Affairs Officer in the Chinese Embassy, Mr. Li Xuda, who signed the MoU on behalf of the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria said Bayero University, Kano has established a reputation that many institutions would be happy to partner with.
This was announced on the University website as obtained by Solacebase on Friday
The Ambassador noted that language is at the center stage of bridging the gap among countries, noting that the relationship between Nigeria and China would significantly be improved.

He said it was a memorable day to sign the memorandum of understanding with Bayero University, Kano, an institution that produced quality graduates, adding that it would pave more avenues for collaboration between Nigeria and China.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Yahuza Bello, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, Professor Adamu Idris Tanko, said Bayero University had already partnered with some Chinese universities in terms of academic linkage, staff and students exchange. He said the MoU would boost BUK’s relationship with Chinese people.
The Vice-Chancellor noted that the University would also mount a proficiency course in the Chinese language to provide access to traders and other people in the country especially those who frequently travel to China for business or study purposes.
