The Central Bank of Nigeria has issued operating licenses to three new banks.
An updated list of deposit money bank made available on the CBN website shows that the number of banks has increased to 23 from 20.
The apex bank also issued a license to a non-interest bank, increasing the number to two.
The new commercial banks are Titan Trust Bank Limited and Globus Bank Limited.
Also, TAJ Bank Limited also joins Jaiz Bank as a non-interest bank.
