A house of representatives member, Hon. Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada has set machinery in motion to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic that has led to the partial lockdown of Kano with the provision of palliatives to his constituency.
Hon. Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada, representing Kano Municipal Federal Constituency on Sunday unfolded his palliatives agenda in a statement sent to Solacebase on Sunday.
He said thousands of hand sanitizers, face masks and hand gloves are already being distributed to the people.
The statement said foodstuff especially, thousands of bags of rice are already being distributed to the people as many cannot go about their normal businesses as the state closed its borders to other states on Friday night.
The Lawmaker who is the House Committee Chairman on National Security and Intelligence at the house, in the statement said with the closure of schools, he has arranged SSCE Preparation Radio Programme on Dala 88.5 FM Kano, in the following subjects:
‘’English Language and Mathematics, Monday to Saturday, from 10 a. m. to 11 a. m.
Chemistry and Physics, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 11 a. m. to 12 noon
and, Geography and Biology, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from 11 a. m. to 12 noon.’’
Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada appealed to the people to intensify prayers and adhere to health officials advise on hand washing and social distancing among others as measures to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19 in the state, Nigeria and the world at large.
