Renowned businessman, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata on Saturday caused a stir at Bayero University ,Kano when he burst into tears over Nigeria’s security challenges.
Dantata drew the attention of prominent personality when he sheds tears at an occasion of the lunching of a translation of Tafswiratul -Hukkam Book into Hausa .
Tabswiratul hukkam is a book on Islamic Shari’a and serves as a guidance to Shariah court judges while presiding over court sessions.
Delivering his speech at the occasion held at BUK , Dantata who is 94 years old got very emotional as he lamented the rising insecurity confronting the country.
”It has come to a situation whereby no one is safe in any parts of the country, even in your home,” Dantata lamented.
Dantata who sponsored the translation of the book later donated N50m while the chief launcher Alhaji Ibrahim Danyaro donated N10m.

Speaking further, on the issue of economic crisis in the nation , Dantata said Nigeria has suffered a lot in the hands of colonial masters who had exploited the country for years, lamenting that it was the wealth of the country they plundered in order to boost their own economic fortune.
According to the business mogul, there was a compelling need for urgent rethink for the country to answer its name in all parts of human interest.
Solacebase reports that the Sultan of Sokoto , Alhaji Abubakar Sa’ad III , also decried the rising insecurity in the northern part of the country, saying it is so bad that people are now scared to travel.
On the recent losses of high profile personalities in Kano, and other northern States, the sultan said that the death of prominent Islamic scholars in succession recently, was quite disturbing to the Muslim community in Nigeria.
