Ex Kano Deputy Gov. Hafiz Abubakar Rejoins APC

Former Kano state Deputy Governor Prof. Hafiz Abubakar has returned to All Progressive Party (APC) after a  political sojourn in PDP and PRP.

The decision of Prof. Hafiz Abubakar according to his Media Aide ,AbdulWahab Sa’id  to returned to APC followed a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday night with other political associates of a former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

AbdulWahab Sa’id  who confirmed to Solacebase the defection on Thursday  did not give details of the meeting but rather said other arrangement are still being put in place on the defection

President Muhammadu  Buhari was said to have met a Kano delegationyesterday that include the  former deputygovernor  Hafiz Abubakar; a formernational treasurer of APC, Bala Gwagwarwa and; a former managing director ofthe Nigerian Ports Authority, Aminu Dabo , Engineer Muazu Magaji and Senator Isa Zarewa.

Apart from Sen. Isa Zarewa, the others are close associate to Senator  Rabiu Kwankwaso

Solacebase gathered that the after the meeting , the delegation that was led by Jigawa state governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar all expressed readiness to rejoin the APC and work for the success of the party.

The Kwankwasiyya group of recent has being witnessingpolitical tsunami with defection of big wigs like the former Commissioner forSpecial Duties Gen Idris Bello Dambazau and former Special Adviser on SolidMineral to Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, Balaraba Ibrahim

It was gathered that since the emergence of Abba Kabir Yusuf as PDP governorship candidate in Kano from the Kwankwasiyya movement which many of the followers are not happy with.
