Kano state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has presented letters of appointment to the newly appointed emirs of Kano and Bichi emirates respectively.
The new Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and Emir of Bichi , Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero both officially received their appointment letters at Kano Government House in an elaborate ceremony.
Solacebase recalled that their appointments was sequel to the deposition of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II as Emir of Kano on Monday and subsequent appointment of former Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as Emir of Kano. Both new emirs were sons of the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero.

While announcing the dethronement of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II on Monday, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, for disrespecting the office of the governor and other government agencies.
According to him, Emir Sanusi’s action violated the part 3 section A-E of Kano state law, hence the removal.
