Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the appointment of Dr. Usman Bashir as Director General , State Agency for the Control of AIDS (SACA).

SOLACEBASE reports that Dr. Bashir, a Consultant Public Health Physician with Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) also lectures at Bayero University Kano.

According to his letter of appointment , the new Director General is expected to assume office on Monday July 17th, 2023.

Dr. Usman Bashir was first appointed Director General , Kano State Agency for the Control of AIDS (SACA), from 2016- 2019.
