Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has declared Monday, Muharram 1, 1443 AH (August 9, 2021) as Work -Free day in the State.
A statement signed on Friday by the commissioner for information, Malam Muhammad Garba said that the holiday was in commemoration of the new Islamic calendar 1443 AH.
Solacebase reports that the governor urged workers to use the work-free day to pray for the country to deliver it from the prevailing security challenges.
