Veteran actor and Broadcaster Sadiq Daba, who became a household in Nigeria for his role as Bitrus in the NTA drama series Cock Crow at Dawn, is dead.
His death was confirmed by filmmaker Kunle Afolayan with whom he worked recently on the 2020 motion picture, Citation.
According to Afolayan, the ace broadcaster died on Wednesday, March 3rd.
Afolayan said he spoke with his wife and son who confirmed his passing to him.
Solacebase also gathered that Sadiq Daba died at his Marwa Garden residence in Alausa, Lagos State.
Mr Daba had been ill with leukaemia and prostate cancer for years before his death
He reached out to the public for financial assistance for medical treatment in October 2019.
Many well meaning Nigerians including billionaire Femi Otedola donated money for his treatment abroad.
Others that mobilized funds for him were Azuka Jebose , Soni Irabor etc
