Kano state government said over 13 workers in the mainstream retired from the state service and 57 others were promoted in the month of June 2021 respectively.
Chairman, Kano State Civil Service Commission, Engr. Bello Mohammad Kiru announced this shortly after the commission meeting for the senior staff promotion exercise held on Thursday
A statement issued by the commission Public Relations Officer, Ismail Garba Gwammaja said Engr. Kiru further explained that those retired from the service of the state government are senior and junior staff, due to age or reaching their terminal point of 35 years in active service.
According to the statement, about eight conversion cases and 5 transfers of service were treated during the meeting, and appeal to the relevant MDAs seeking for promotion of their staff to forward their documents two weeks before the commission meeting.

‘’The Permanent Secretary of the commission Alh Sani Abdullahi Kofar Mata congratulates those promoted and implore members of the commission to always be on the alert to ensure effective service delivery for the entire civil servants in the state,’’ the statement said.
‘’Kofa Mata assured staff of the commission of prompt attention to their issues and commended Governor Ganduje for physical infrastructural development in the state. ‘’
