Kano State Hisbah Board and Kano State Road Traffic Authority ( KAROTA) have concluded arrangement to collaborate at ensuring that motorists, tricycle riders and other road users maintained the culture of safety, obey rules and regulations on both urban and rural roads.
The Commander General of the Hisbah Board, Sheikh Harun Muhmmad Sani Ibn Sina disclosed this during a visit to KAROTA Managing Director, Alhaji Baffa Babba Dan Agudi in his office, on Thursday.
This was contained in a statement forwarded to Solacebase by Hisba Board, Public Relation Officer Lawan Ibrahim Fagge on Thursday.
In the statement, Harun Ibn Sina said that Hisbah and KAROTA have a lot in common, particularly, in the mode of operations and the discharge of duties of promoting peaceful coexisting and protection of lives and properties, for the state to move to the next level.
He then appealed to residents in the state, particularly roads users to be law-abiding so as to ensure safety on roads.

Responding, according to the release, KAROTA Managing Director, Alhaji Baffa Babba Dan Agudi hinted that a special joint operations of Hisbah/KAROTA personnel is on the way to ensure full compliance to traffic regulations in the state.
The MD described the visit and collaboration by the two agencies as a synergy that would be beneficial to Kano residents and reduce gridlock and road accidents.
