The Katsina Emirate Council has sacked the district head of kankara, Alhaji Yusuf Lawal for complicity in banditry activities.
The Sarkin Yakin Katsina, Alhaji Bello Mamman Ifo, told newsmen in Katsina that the district head, also known as Sarkin Pawwa Katsina was found guilty of all the charges levelled against him regarding conspiring with bandits in the area.
Solacebase reports that Katsina Emirate Council had suspended the Sarkin Pauwan Katsina, district head of Kankara, Alhaji Yusuf Lawal, on April 30th, 2021, over alleged complicity in banditry.

He said the dismissal was however effected on Friday after the Emirate received a letter from the state government which also allegedly indicted him of all the allegations levelled against him.
The allegations essentially bordered on alleged aiding and abetting banditry activities in his district.
Recalls that an Emirate Committee Chaired by the Kauran Katsina and district head of Rimi, had at a meeting with security officials and other stakeholders especially from Kankara district found Alhaji Yusuf Lawal guilty of aiding and siding with bandits and kidnappers operating in his domain.
