KEDCO Tells Customers: How To Sustain The Improved Power Supply In Kano Franchise Area

2

The Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) says customers across Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States hold the key to sustaining the regular power supply now being enjoyed through regular and full payment of electricity bills.

According to KEDCO management, this is one of the panaceas to motivate the organization to continue to render full services to ensure that customers’ satisfaction is guaranteed, while field officers and other KEDCO officers would continue to get their pay to encourage them to do their jobs at a critical time like this.

This was contained in a statement issued by Head, Corporate Communication Unit, KEDCO Ibrahim Sani Shawai and forwarded to Solacebase on Monday.

“We promised to deliver on our pledge to support the government by ensuring that people staying at home are comfortable through our improved service delivery which has really culminated into the improved power supply we now have in all our franchise areas. We are keeping our words and this is the way to go, ‘’said the statement.

“In that regard also, the customers are to also support us to ensure that we continue on that lane. We need collaborative efforts to sustain that through regular and full payment of bills. This will help us to keep up with our own responsibilities towards our staff who work relentlessly to guarantee customers’ happiness at a time like this.’’

According to the statement, the management also dispels rumours making the round that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, customers were no longer expected to pay electricity bills for at least two months, adding “this is not true as we have not been informed in that regard. We must all continue to pay our bills so we can keep our business running and to also maintain our pride as a responsible company, especially with regard to salary payment to our numerous staff and other financial obligation to other stakeholders.’’
