Kwara state government on Thursday imposed a total lockdown in the entire state to check the COVID-19 pandemic.
The state deputy governor and Chairman COVID-19 Committee, Mr Kayode Alabi, announced this on Thursday at a news conference in Ilorin, the state capital.
Solacebase reports that Kwara state has 2 confirmed COVID-19 cases as Offa local government area was the first council area in the state to face the lockdown
Mr Kayode Alabi said the lockdown order will take effect from 6 pm on Friday.
