Lockdown: Mobile Court Apprehends 2 Security Personnel Illegally Escorting Vehicle With Goods In Kano

The Kano state lockdown mobile courts established to enforce compliance during the state’s stay at home order has revealed that a Nigerian Immigration Service personnel and that of a Police constabulary have been apprehended escorting a vehicle illegally with over 1000 pieces of touch lights at Kwanar Dawaki, Dawakin Kudu local government area.

This was disclosed by the Kano State Judiciary Public Relations Officer,  Baba Jibo Ibrahim in an interview with Solacebase on Saturday.

According to him, the two suspects were apprehended by the mobile court at Kwanar Dawaki where they told the court that, they were going to Falgore forest adding that the suspects’ statement was inconsistent, hence they were later handed over to the police for further investigations.

He added that, so far from Thursday to Saturday the state lockdown mobile courts have convicted over 400 violators among which are a tricycle conveying 11 people without any genuine reasons for doing so.

He noted that the mobile court will continue to work round the clock to ensure compliance to the lockdown order adding that as mobile courts they have no weekends.

“The state lockdown mobile courts have no weekends, therefore we will continue to work round the clock to ensure compliance for the safety of Kano people in the government’s fight against the spread of COVID-19,” said Baba Jibo
