NULGE elects new executives in Kano, as National President assures of improved welfare
The national president of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Ibrahim Khaleel has promised to ensure the welfare of local government employee in the country.
Comrade Khaleel stated this to newsmen in Kano on Monday while inaugurating newly elected 11-man State executive members led by Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo to pilot its affairs for another second tenure of four years.
He said local government employees in Kano and other states are lacking welfare due to the delay in their promotion.
He charged them to continue working in the interest of workers in Kano state and uphold the ideals of the formation of NULGE.
Solacebase reports that Kano state President of the union Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo was returned unopposed as other contestants stepped down.

Other new executive members include Muntaka Sani Bichi as Vice Chairman, Hasana Ammani as Vice Charman (Woman), Abdullahi Yusuf Wudil as treasurer and Sa’idu Muhammad Albasu as Public Relations officer of the Union among others.
In his acceptance speech, Abdullahi Gwarzo, thanked the members for their boldness in standing for what was right, promising that he would not let them down.
