Prominent Islamic Scholars In Kano Pledged Support For Kwankwasiyya Movement

Some prominent Islamic Scholars in Kano have appealed to residents to stop politicizing statement created to the former governor of the state and Senator representing Kano Central Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso that has to do with the religion.

Solacebase recalled that a video recently went viral where Rabiu Kwankwaso was heard cautioning bearded and short trouser wearing Clerics to mind their utterances in politics

The Clerics who on Thursday expressed support to the aspiration and yearning of leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso said they cannot easily forget his contribution to Islamic development and other developmental growth in the state during his tenure.

The Commander General, Kano state Hisbah Board, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa who led a delegation of over 50 Islamic clerics from Kano during a visit to Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso at his residence in Kano reiterated their support towards his doctrine.

Malam Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa urged residents to stop politicizing the recent comment of the former Kano state governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso against some Islamic Cleric

Daurawa who spoke at length with leaders from various Islamic Sect that include Tijjaniyya , Quadiriyya, Izala  from Jos and Kaduna with Quran Memorizers said the leader of the Kwakwasiyya Movement would not at anytime do anything that will bring disrepute to the Islamic religion.

According to him,” It was during your tenure as governor that Hisba Board was created, you initiated mass wedding with over 5, 000 couples as beneficiaries that cut across the whole state, there were several construction of Islamic schools by you , while Quranic Teachers were empowered.’’

Hence he said, as Scholars we believe that , Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso will not in anyway insult Islam and its practitioner.

Also Speaking at the event the chief Imam of Ihyaussunnan mosques at Kofar Nasarawa Malam Sani Hashir said they strongly believe  Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso respects Cleric, as such people misunderstood his statement.

Sani Hashir said during Rabi’u Kwankwason’s reign, he came up with immense development which help clerics in Kano to further their studies and improve on preaching                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 as such they believe in his doctrine  and promise to follow whoever he chose to govern the state.

On his part, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso appreciated them for the visit noting that it gladdens him that many of them understands him and his philosophy.

Some of the Islamic Cleric at the event include, Malam Nazifi Muhammad Inuwa, Gwani Sunusi and Sheik Kadi Mustapha Kabara among others.
