The National Emergency Management Agency has distributed the relief items donated by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre to the Internally Displaced Persons in Seven Camps and host Communities in Zamfara State.
Solacebase reports that the relief distribution was earlier flagged off last Friday in Tsunami and Mada areas of Gusau, the State capital.
National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) are conducting the direct distribution exercise with a staff of the Zamfara State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) in collaboration with security agencies.
The food distribution is expected to cover a total of 8,725 households which are expected to benefit each with a food package of 59.8kg which consists of a 25kg bag of rice, 25kg bag of beans, 9.8kg package of Condiments.
Also, the distribution of the relief support will be extended to cater for the needs of fresh displaced victims of the just recent gunmen attacks in some villages in the state, who kept on trooping to the state capital and other neighbouring environs to take solace.
