Senate salutes Super Eagles for booking quarter-final place at AFCON

Chairman Senate Committee on Sports Senator Suleiman Kawu Sumaila has commended the Super Eagles’ outstanding display against Cameroon in their Round 16 tie at the ongoing AFCON in Ivory Coast.

SOLACEBASE reports that the Eagles defeated their arch-rival 2-0 to book a date with Angola in the Quarterfinal, on Saturday.

The Chairman, in a statement signed personally on Sunday, said the team’s exceptional performance against the Cameroonians has received commendations from every Nigerian around the World.

“We expressed great appreciation for the remarkable display of skill, determination, and teamwork by the boys”.
