Truck Crushes Family Of Four To Death In Kano
An articulated vehicle belonging to Dangote Company on Sunday crush to death a family of four on a motorcycle in Kano.
The accident that claimed the lives of the husband Sagir Muhammad, 40, his wife and two of their children were on their way to the city when a Dangote truck loaded with cement at Gaida Outskirt of Kano along bye-pass, on the busy highway that linked Sharada Industrial area with Chalawa ran over them.
A friend of the deceased husband, Junaidu Musa said late Sagir just left where they took breakfast at Tea Café (Mai Shai) from where he proceeded with his family of five on his motorbike on a visitation to the main city when he was crushed.
‘’His four-year-old boy survived the accident though the other two, with the wife and himself died instantly, ‘’said Juniadu.
Confirming the incident to Solacebase, Kano Command Police Spokesman, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said the incident that occurred around 10.30 am involving, a man, his wife and three of their children who were all rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital.

‘’Only a child survived the accident and had since been discharged,’’ said Kiyawa.
The police image maker added that the truck had been moved to police formation, while a search for the driver who fled the scene has since commenced as they have contacted the company.
